Discover How Jilispins Can Transform Your Gaming Experience with These Simple Tips

I still remember the first time I loaded up the latest expansion and saw those two new Job icons staring back at me from the character selection screen. The Pictomancer looked intriguing with its artistic flair, but my eyes kept drifting back to the Viper—this sleek, dangerous-sounding class that promised exactly the kind of high-skill gameplay I crave. Little did I know I was about to embark on what would become one of the most challenging yet rewarding learning curves in my gaming career. The Viper isn't just another DPS class; it's a test of your ability to process information quickly, maintain composure under pressure, and execute with precision. And through countless hours of practice and more than a few frustrating wipeouts, I've discovered several simple tips that can completely transform how you approach this incredible Job.

When you first unlock Viper at level 80, the immediate skill overload is absolutely real—you're handed what feels like an entire toolkit all at once, and it's overwhelming in a way that few other Jobs are. I distinctly spent my first hour just reading tooltips and trying to understand how the pieces fit together. The core mechanic revolves around these elegant three-step combos where the third step grants a special effect that empowers a different combo-ending action. It sounds straightforward on paper, but in the heat of battle, remembering which third step empowers which finisher while dodging mechanics is where the real challenge lies. What I've found works best is to focus on mastering just two combo chains initially rather than trying to use your entire rotation immediately. Practice them on training dummies until your fingers can execute them without conscious thought—this muscle memory foundation is crucial before you add more complex elements.

The beauty of Viper reveals itself once you achieve that flow state where your twin blades become extensions of your will. There's this incredible moment when everything clicks and you stop thinking about individual buttons and start feeling the rhythm of the combat. Your attacks transition from hesitant sequences to this beautiful, seamless dance of steel and motion. I particularly love how the class incorporates weapon transformation—those moments when you connect your twin blades into a double-ended weapon for those massive AOE attacks feel viscerally satisfying every single time. The screen shakes, enemies stagger, and you genuinely feel like you're unleashing devastating force upon your foes. It's this constant interplay between fast, precise single-target combos and these explosive area attacks that keeps the gameplay loop fresh and engaging even during extended play sessions.

What many players don't realize initially is that Viper's difficulty isn't just about executing combos correctly—it's about situational awareness and adaptability. Unlike some Jobs that follow rigid rotations, Viper requires you to make split-second decisions based on fight mechanics, enemy positioning, and party needs. I've found that positioning yourself correctly before committing to your longer combo chains makes a dramatic difference in your overall damage output and survivability. Since many of your abilities have positional requirements or cleave effects, being even slightly misaligned can cost you significant DPS. Through my own testing in various raid scenarios, I've noticed that proper positioning alone can increase your damage by as much as 15-20%, which often makes the difference between a clear and a wipe on challenging content.

Another aspect that transformed my Viper gameplay was learning to read the battle field several moves ahead, almost like a chess game. Since your combo-ender abilities rely on building the correct buffs through your three-step sequences, you need to anticipate what you'll need 10-15 seconds from now rather than just reacting to your current cooldowns. This proactive mindset separates adequate Vipers from exceptional ones. I developed a personal system where I mentally track two combo chains simultaneously—one for single-target priority and another for cleave situations—and switch between them based on add spawns or phase transitions. This mental mapping felt unnatural at first, but after about 20 hours of practice, it became second nature and elevated my performance tremendously.

The flashy nature of Viper's animations can actually work against you initially because it's easy to get distracted by all the visual noise. I'll admit I died more than once in early dungeons because I was too busy admiring my character's slick movements to notice the giant orange marker under my feet. Learning to appreciate the aesthetics while maintaining combat awareness is a delicate balance that comes with experience. What helped me was gradually turning down certain effect settings until I found the sweet spot where I could still enjoy the visual feedback without compromising my ability to see important mechanics. This small adjustment probably saved me from dozens of unnecessary deaths and improved my overall consistency.

Perhaps the most valuable lesson I've learned with Viper is the importance of patience and incremental progress. This isn't a Job you master in a weekend—it demands dedication and a willingness to fail repeatedly while you build competence. I probably spent my first 30 hours performing suboptimally, and my damage numbers reflected that struggle. But there came a point around the 40-hour mark where something shifted, and I started topping meters in expert roulettes. That transition from struggling to proficient felt incredibly rewarding because I knew I'd earned that performance through persistent effort. The community often rates Viper as one of the more difficult DPS Jobs for good reason, but that very challenge makes mastery so much more satisfying.

As I reflect on my journey with Viper, I'm convinced that the initial overwhelm is actually a design feature rather than a flaw. By forcing players to engage deeply with complex mechanics, the Job filters for those willing to invest the time to truly understand its nuances. The payoff for that investment is one of the most dynamic and engaging gameplay experiences available—a class that makes you feel powerful not because it's easy, but because you've conquered its complexity. Every time I seamlessly transition between twin blades and double-ended weapon, executing perfect combos while navigating complicated raid mechanics, I'm reminded why I fell in love with challenging games in the first place. Viper hasn't just transformed my gaming experience—it's redefined what I consider rewarding gameplay.

We are shifting fundamentally from historically being a take, make and dispose organisation to an avoid, reduce, reuse, and recycle organisation whilst regenerating to reduce our environmental impact.  We see significant potential in this space for our operations and for our industry, not only to reduce waste and improve resource use efficiency, but to transform our view of the finite resources in our care.

Looking to the Future

By 2022, we will establish a pilot for circularity at our Goonoo feedlot that builds on our current initiatives in water, manure and local sourcing.  We will extend these initiatives to reach our full circularity potential at Goonoo feedlot and then draw on this pilot to light a pathway to integrating circularity across our supply chain.

The quality of our product and ongoing health of our business is intrinsically linked to healthy and functioning ecosystems.  We recognise our potential to play our part in reversing the decline in biodiversity, building soil health and protecting key ecosystems in our care.  This theme extends on the core initiatives and practices already embedded in our business including our sustainable stocking strategy and our long-standing best practice Rangelands Management program, to a more a holistic approach to our landscape.

We are the custodians of a significant natural asset that extends across 6.4 million hectares in some of the most remote parts of Australia.  Building a strong foundation of condition assessment will be fundamental to mapping out a successful pathway to improving the health of the landscape and to drive growth in the value of our Natural Capital.

Our Commitment

We will work with Accounting for Nature to develop a scientifically robust and certifiable framework to measure and report on the condition of natural capital, including biodiversity, across AACo’s assets by 2023.  We will apply that framework to baseline priority assets by 2024.

Looking to the Future

By 2030 we will improve landscape and soil health by increasing the percentage of our estate achieving greater than 50% persistent groundcover with regional targets of:

– Savannah and Tropics – 90% of land achieving >50% cover

– Sub-tropics – 80% of land achieving >50% perennial cover

– Grasslands – 80% of land achieving >50% cover

– Desert country – 60% of land achieving >50% cover
